Bali Challenge For the active traveler, this tour includes ricefield and jungle trekking, a volcano climb, river rafting, elephant ride, cycling and lots of diving. For those with less time, an abbreviated version of the itinerary can be arranged. Day 1 Transfer from the airport to Mimpi Tulamben Hotel in Tulamben. Three nights accommodations. Day 2 This morning you'll two coral wall and drop-off dives. This afternoon you'll have two dives at the Liberty shipwreck. Day 3 This morning you'll dive Amed / Jemeluk. Afternoon at leisure. Day 4 This morning you'll take two Mimpi coral reef dives. Afternoon transfer from Tulamben to your hotel in Ubud. Sightseeing along the way includes the Palace of Karangasem, Tirta Gangga Water Garden, Tenganan traditional village, Kusamba fishing village and the Bat Cave temple. Four nights accommodations in Ubud. Day 5 Depart your hotel in the very early morning hours, to climb Mt. Batur volcano. Reach the summit in time to see the sunrise (weather permitting). Return to Ubud in the late morning. Afternoon at leisure. Day 6 Today's adventure is a rafting excursion on the Ayung River plus one hour elephant ride, including lunch. In the evening attend a performance of the primitive kecak dance. Day 7 Today's Kintamani/Batur Trail cycling excursion is mainly downhill on back roads through the scenic countryside northeast of Ubud. Lunch is included. This is a non-private excursion. Day 8 Today's excursion begins with a stop at the spice, fruit and flower market at Candi Kuning and Ulun Danu temple on Lake Beratan. Continue to Munduk village where you'll start your two hour trek through farmlands and local farm gardens. You'll see coffee, cloves, cocoa and other local produce, as well as two natural waterfalls. (A cooking less can be added at Munduk village for an additional fee.) Following your trek you'll stop at Pulaki monkey temple before continuing to Pemuteran in the northwest of Bali. Three nights accommodations. Day 9 Today you will have two dives at Menjangan Island, including lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Day 10 This morning you'll take a guided hike in Barat National Park. The afternoon is at leisure. This afternoon you'll have two dives at Menjangan Island. Lunch is included. Day 11 Today you'll take a jungle trek at Lake Tamblingan. Begin by walking down hundreds of steps to the shores of the lake. From there you'll walk through the jungle, observing various flora and fauna. Transfer to the airport or most other areas of Bali. Prices include daily American breakfast, tax and service, dive equipment and a share boat (private boats are available at an additional cost):
