UBUD VILLAGE RESORT

Located past the monkey forest, on the outskirts of Ubud, you'll find Ubud Village Resort with its gorgeous gardens, two story restaurant with marvelous rice field views and its arc-shaped swimming pool complete with an island in the middle. Accommodations are in a variety of villas with both indoor and outdoor showers and private plunge pools.

While many of the hotels in the Ubud area are on small plots of land, Ubud Village Resort has extensive grounds which are not only beautifully landscaped, but are designed in a manner that entices guests to stroll around admiring not only the gardens and lotus ponds, but also the rice fields that border the property.

Ubud Village Resort (not to be confused with Ubud Village Hotel, a more moderate property in the heart of the town), is a relatively new property. Though larger than many of Ubud's luxury boutique hotels, it's so spread out that it never feels as if there are many people staying there. The resort has a wonderful open feel to it.

In addition to the amenities listed above, the villas all have private pavilions, gazebos and day beds. The pantry villas have fully equipped kitchens and larger pools. Private 24-hour butler service is available to guests in all villa categories, on a request basis.

We think Ubud Village Resort is an excellent choice for anyone looking for the amenities of a larger resort, rice field views, magnificent gardens and personal service - without compromising on the kind of private villa accommodations normally reserved for smaller boutique hotels.
